Trek through beautiful rainforest to Mandara Hut, your first night's shelter on the mountain.
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Climb out of the forest onto open moorland, reaching Horombo Hut with views toward Mawenzi peak.
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Cross the stark, high-altitude Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach Kibo Hut, where you'll rest before the summit attempt.
Kibo Hut to Summit & Descent to Horombo Hut
A midnight start for the push to Uhuru Peak, followed by a long descent back down to Horombo Hut.
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
Descend through moorland and rainforest back to Marangu Gate, collecting your summit certificate on arrival.
